McLaren Central Michigan Earns Prestigious Cancer Center Accreditation

McLaren Central Michigan has earned an accreditation that fewer than 30 percent of U.S. hospitals have earned.

The Norval K. Morey Cancer Center at McLaren Central Michigan has earned a three-year accreditation with commendation from the Commission on Cancer.

"At McLaren Central Michigan, we're committed to delivering top-notch cancer care so patients and families can be confident and comfortable staying close to home during this most trying time," hospital CEO Bill Lawrence said in a written statement. "When we started the cancer center six years ago, we made a pledge to the community that we'd stay on the leading edge of treatment."

Commendation is given to hospitals with programs that give patients access to quality, comprehensive care and are close to home.
