McLaren Central Michigan welcomes Tom Mink, PA-C to the practice of Internist Ashok Vashishta, MD in Mt. Pleasant. Mink, a Mt. Pleasant resident, will see patients in need of primary care at his office.
Mink has worked at McLaren Central Michigan for nearly 15 years, caring for patients in the ReadyCare Walk-In Clinic and in the emergency department.
Originally from a small farm town in central Idaho, Mink earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Science from Boise State University, and came to Michigan to earn his Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Central Michigan University.
“My patients to think that I’m a very caring person,” Mink said. “My goal is to help them address their health care needs and improve their situation.”
In addition to his day job, Mink also serves the community as the Den Leader of a local Cub Scout troop, and as a volunteer health care provider at the McLaren Central Michigan Free Clinic.
Mink’s family includes his wife, Maria, of 22 years, and two children; Isabel, 12, and Max, 2. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, spending time with his family, playing tennis, mountain biking, alpine and cross-country skiing, and fishing.
