For your safety and security, please follow these guidelines while you are a patient or a visitor at McLaren Flint.
Patients are admitted to the medical center with a variety of illnesses, some of which may be infectious or communicable. Precautionary measures are used to prevent the spread of infection to protect our patients, visitors, and staff. If your condition requires any special precautionary measures, please be assured that your medical care will not be compromised. Your nurse will instruct you regarding special requirements for visitors, personal items, or other restrictions. An infection control specialist is also available to answer any questions you may have.
Lost and Found
If you lose something, please have your nurse notify Security immediately. Every effort will be made to locate the lost item.
All medications that you take while in the medical center are prescribed by your doctor, dispensed by the medical center’s pharmacy, and administered by a nurse. Patients should not administer or keep personal medications at their bedside, unless prior authorization with special permission has been obtained.
Smoking is prohibited in the medical center. If your visitors wish to smoke, they must do so outside the medical center. Please understand that this regulation was made to improve the environment for everyone in the medical center, and to set a healthy example for the community. Your cooperation is sincerely appreciated.
Please do not leave items of value in your room. Leave or send your valuables home. In the event that this is not feasible, Patient Accounting may hold your valuables until they can be sent home with a family member, or upon discharge.
