Rehab Commission Recognizes Quality of McLaren Inpatient, Outpatient and Brain Injury Programs...

The McLaren Flint Rehabilitation Center has again been awarded the highest level of accreditation by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) for its comprehensive inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation and brain injury programs.

"This achievement is an indication of your organization's dedication and commitment to improving the quality of the lives of people receiving services," said Brian J. Boon, President and CEO of CARF.

CARF-accredited programs and services have demonstrated that they meet nationally recognized standards and have shown a significant commitment towards providing state-of-the-art care to all patients. CARF standards are continuously reviewed, in response to the changes and advances in the rehabilitation field.  McLaren is the only provider in the region of CARF accredited outpatient brain injury services.

"CARF accreditation supports the McLaren Team's commitment to continually enhance the quality of its services and programs and its focus on patient satisfaction," said Lori Walters, Director, Therapy Services and Cardiac Rehabilitation.

CARF surveyors commended McLaren for its strong interdisciplinary team approach to patient program planning and treatment, and the staff member's dedication, enthusiasm and expertise in implementing the medical rehabilitation programs that are provided for patients.

McLaren Flint provides a comprehensive range of rehabilitation services to patients for a wide range of diseases and injuries including stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injury, amputation, arthritis and orthopedic conditions.

This CARF accreditation extends through June 2007.
