Psychiatry Consultation and Liaison Team

William T. Beecroft, M.D., is currently responsible for clinical services provided to his patients as outpatients, and geriatric inpatients admitted to McLaren Greater Lansing. He works collaboratively with primary care providers, neurology, neuropsychologists, social workers and caregivers to provide comprehensive evaluation and management services to the clients admitted to his care. 

He is Board certified in General Adult Psychiatry with additional qualifications in the sub specialty of Geriatrics and Psychosomatic(Consultation-Liaison) Psychiatry, recently recertifying in Geriatrics in 2009.

He has been the Chairperson of the Department of Psychiatry at McLaren Greater Lansing since 2007.

Linda M. Peterson, M.D. FAPM, is a Fellow of the Academy of Psychosomatic Medicine and a Diplomat of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. She is Chair of the Medical Ethics Committee, and the City-Wide End-of-Life Subcommittee.

Dr. Peterson’s interest in Ethics lies in promoting Advance Care Planning in healthy adults. She and her subcommittee received the 2004 Capital Area Health Alliance (CAHA) Partnership Award.

Dr. Peterson is affiliated with the Psychiatric Consultation and Liaison Service and a Behavioral Health Consultant for McLaren Greater Lansing’s Pain Management Center. She is also Assistant Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at Michigan State University.

She received her medical degree from MSU College of Human Medicine, and completed her residency at Sheppard and Enoch Pratt Hospital, Towson, MD. She also completed the Ginsberg Fellowship – Group for Advancement of Psychiatry at the same hospital. Dr. Peterson speaks Spanish and English, and is a member of the American Hispanic Psychiatric Association, and a number of other professional organizations.
