Physician WebsiteOkemos Women's Health practice consists of OB/GYN physicians, a certified nurse midwife, and a certified nurse practitioner trained traditionally, but progressive in their approach to patient care. The group provides expertise in general OB/GYN care, advanced laparoscopy, operative hysteroscopy, and management of abnormal pap smears.
The practice offers minimally-invasive treatments for pelvic organ prolapse and stress urinary incontinence, and also offers HPV vaccinations. They are on the cutting edge of technology with the 3D/4D ultrasound machine, which offers the expectant mother and family to have a unique view of their unborn baby. They also have the ability to perform first trimester genetic screening on obstetric patients.
Dr. Russell has been practicing at Okemos Women's Health since 2003. She was Vice President of the OB/GYN Department at Ingham Regional Medical Center from 2008 to 2009, and Member-At-Large of the Professional Staff from 2010 to 2011. She is a fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Dr. Russell enjoys a very active, healthy lifestyle and tries to encourage patients to follow in the same pursuit. She is married with one son and one daughter. In her spare time, she enjoys gardening and traveling.
