Dr. Peterson is Past Chair of Psychiatry at McLaren Greater Lansing, Chair of McLaren Greater Lansing's Ethics Committee, and Co-Chief of the Professional Staff. She also chairs the City-Wide End-Of-Life Subcommittee.

Dr. Peterson has been an attending physician at McLaren Greater Lansing since 1994 and is part of the Critical Care T.E.A.M.  She is a Clinical Assistant Professor for Michigan State University for both College of Human and Osteopathic Medicine Internal Medicine residents, and faculty for GVSU Physician Assistance Program.  She is currently the Medical Director of McLaren Greater Lansing Psychosomatic Service Line (Consultation Liaison Psychiatry).
