Unfortunately, with quality health care comes a billing for services. Patient Registration representatives counsel all patients and families that hospital charges not covered by insurance are the patient's responsibility. In some cases, Social Work may assist in arranging for financial aid from non-hospital services. The medical center accepts VISA and MasterCard as methods of payment. Professional services, not included as part of the medical center bill, may mean you receive more than one bill for your medical center stay. Professional services may include, but not be limited to:
• Emergency Services. This is provided by physicians from Professional ER Care. Their charges are billed separately through their billing service. Call 1-888-861-8740 for information.
• Diagnostic Imaging and Radiology. All diagnostic tests are read and interpreted by Lapeer Radiologists, and are billed separately from the medical center. Contact Lapeer Radiologists at 1-800-765-0428.
• Laboratory. Some lab services are read and interpreted by Flint Clinical Pathologists, P.C. Their charges are billed separately from the medical center. For questions, call (810) 733-7741.
• Cardiopulmonary Services. Some procedures require interpretation/evaluation by cardiologists or pulmonologists not paid by the medical center. You may receive a separate bill from these physicians.
