HealthPlus will implement a Cardiology Registration Program, administered by CareCore National (CCN).
This new program, effective March 31, 2013, will apply to Transthoracic Echocardiography, Echo Stress Testing and Diagnostic Heart Catheterization ordered by PCPs and cardiologist.
Specific tests require registration. Services and claims will not be denied if complete clinical information is provided, explaining why the test is being performed. Claims WILL deny only if registration is not completed. Once registration information is obtained, any denied claims can be resubmitted.

Outpatient Cardiology Services REQUIRING Registration:
Services rendered in an emergency room, observation unit, urgent care facility or during an inpatient stay DO NOT require registration. A list of CPT codes related to the tests will be made available by HealthPlus to providers before the program effective date of March 31, 2013
