Radiation Oncology Physicians

Peter S. Armstrong, MD, joined McLaren Northern Michigan as a radiation oncologist in 1994 after completing his medical degree at the University of Illinois. Prior to receiving his medical degree, Dr. Armstrong received his undergraduate degree from University of Colorado, Boulder.

Thomas P. Boike, MD, joined the radiation oncology team at McLaren Northern Michigan in 2011 after completing his training at the University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas, Texas, as an assistant professor in Radiation Oncology. Dr. Boike received his bachelor’s of science degree from the University of Michigan and completed his medical degree at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan.

Radiation Oncology Colleagues

Kirk Parent, MSA,CMD, joined McLaren Northern Michigan in 2009 as a Medical Dosimetrist and department manager. After graduating from Wayne State University in 1986 with a degree in Radiation Therapy Technology, Kirk trained in Medical Dosimetry at M.D. Anderson in Houston, Texas, before receiving a master’s degree in healthcare administration from Central Michigan University in 1999.

Dan Dryden, MS, FACR, is a Medical Physicist and Radiation Safety Officer at McLaren Northern Michigan. Prior to joining the Hospital in 1990, Dan graduated with a Masters degree in Radiological Physics from Wayne State University School of Medicine. He is board certified by the American Board of Radiology in Therapeutic Radiological Physics.

Ann Gunderson, RN, graduated from Kalamazoo Valley College with Associate in Nursing and has more than 25 years of experience in oncology.

Bruce Bohn, CMD, R.T. (T), joined the Radiation Therapy Department of McLaren Northern Michigan in 2001and currnently serves as a staff Dosimetrist. Bruce completed his therapy training at the University of Michigan Medical Center, graduating in 1995. Prior to joining McLaren Northern Michigan, Bruce worked at Spectrum Health in Grand Rapids.

Brenda Wagenschutz, R.T.(T), joined McLaren Northern Michigan in 1999 after graduating from the Oakland Radiation Therapy program in 1998 and completed her clinical rotation at Beaumont Hospitals in Royal Oak, Michigan.

Mary Mills, R. T. (R), joined McLaren Northern Michigan in 2001 after graduating from the Mt. Carmel Mercy School of Radiology in 1990.

Robert Dunneback, R.T. (R) (T), joined the McLaren Northern Michigan Radiation Therapy Department in 2001 after receiving his Radiologic Technologist Associate Degree and his Radiation Therapy Associate Degree from Lansing Community College in Lansing, Michigan. Robert is certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and is a Registered Radiologic Technologist and Registered Radiation Therapist.

Kelli Ketzler, B.S.R.T.(T), joined the McLaren Northern Michigan Radiation Therapy Department in 2011. She received her bachelor’s of science degree in Radiation Therapy Technology in 2009 from Wayne State University. She also obtained a bachelor’s of arts degree in Communications Arts and Sciences from Michigan State University. She is a Registered Radiation Therapist and is certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology. Prior to joining McLaren Northern Michigan, Kelli worked at Henry Ford Hospital.
