Visiting our Emergency Room
We know that a visit to the Emergency Room can be an upsetting and frightening experience for some people. However, our staff is highly trained and will provide the best care possible.
If your condition is serious, you will receive care immediately.
Patients are seen in the order of the seriousness of the medical problems. Critically ill patients are always seen before patients with less serious problems. As a result the waiting time may vary depending on the seriousness of your medical condition. If delays occur, please be aware that we are doing everything possible to limit the time you spend in the ER. Your understanding is appreciated during your care process. If you have questions at any time, please ask your caregiver.
Our Triage System
When you arrive at the Emergency Room, the ER nurse will perform a brief triage assessment of your complaint, medical history, vital signs, and allergies.
If your condition requires immediate care a trauma trained physician will perform a physical exam to evaluate your medical problem. It may be necessary to have additional testing such as Blood tests, X ray, CT scan or other types of testing that we can do here at our facility, immediately.
Waiting and Support Area
We have a comfortable, family-friendly waiting area with a television, magazines and vending machines. |
