This elective rotation can be a two (2) or four (4) week rotation.
This elective gives students experience in the diagnosis and treatment of patients suspected of having or already being treated for hematologic diseases and malignancy. The rotation will offer, specifically, hospital and clinic exposure to history taking, performing a physical exam, diagnostic and therapeutic principles and continuing care.
Please note that all students scheduled for this rotation will be required to take a maximum of two nights of general internal medicine overnight call.
