Support your partner during pregnancy

Your support can make pregnancy easier for you both.

So you and your partner are expecting a baby? Congratulations!

She's the star in the drama ahead, but she needs you to play a supporting role.

Physical and emotional changes while she's pregnant—eating, sleeping, sex and work—will affect you too, according to the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.

Here are some things you can do:

  • Avoid junk food.
  • Don't smoke.
  • Avoid alcohol.
  • Take over some chores.
  • Attend her prenatal care appointments.
  • Learn all you can about pregnancy.
  • Talk to her about your feelings.
