IRMC's nurse externship program consists of 7-week paid work experience with a registered nurse preceptor. Nursing students must be entering their senior year of a bachelor of science in nursing program or the third semester of a diploma or associate degree program to apply. Candidates are eligible the summer to the last term of year of RN training. 
Applications for next program will begin early 2024.
You will be asked to provide the following:
- Complete the online Student Nurse Externship – Summer application
- Provide a resume
- Provide two letters of recommendation
- Provide copies of your transcripts.
