2022 Marge Scheeren Volunteer Service Award Recipient Recognized
Indiana Regional Medical Center recognized its volunteers on Tuesday, April 12 at a luncheon held at the Rustic Lodge. Volunteer Services at IRMC – Marge’s Mission consists of men, women and high school students who generously give their time and skills to helping others. These individuals serve in many areas of the hospital, including the Information Desk, Surgical Waiting Room, Gift Shop, Mailroom, Pastoral Care, and Pet Therapy. There are also volunteers who serve outside of the hospital at IRMC at Chestnut Ridge and some knit baby hats for our newborns.
In addition to recognizing all volunteers, IRMC announced the recipient of the Marge Scheeren Volunteer Service Award. The 2022 recipient of the award was presented to Priscilla Hundley.
Priscilla has volunteered at IRMC for more than 31 years. She assists with sorting the hospital’s incoming mail and with special projects for many hospital departments including Administration, Diabetes Management, and Financial Counseling. She was nominated by fellow volunteers, IRMC employees and physicians who described her as being someone who “loves to serve, is a very pleasant lady who is a hard worker and always willing to help others,” and “is very kind, caring and compassionate.”
