IRMC Appoints Amanda Augustine to Physician Recruiter Role
Recruiting and retaining high quality primary and specialty care is critical to fulfilling Indiana Regional Medical Center’s mission of becoming the best community health system in the country. The start of our Rural Family Medicine Residency Program this July, along with the adoption of a Physician Recruiter position, are important investments in IRMC’s future.
Amanda Augustine's move to become IRMC’s Physician Recruiter will help us to fulfill this mission and vision. “I am excited to see Amanda bring the same drive and commitment which she has shown for IRMC and the entire Indiana Community, to this new position,” says Richard Neff, MD, Chief Medical Officer at IRMC. “With IRMC’s close alignment with Punxsutawney Area Hospital, our goal is to attract physicians to both service areas.”
An Indiana County resident for 23 years, Amanda received her Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Physiology from Slippery Rock University. She joined Indiana Regional Medical Center in 1999 on an AmeriCorps grant, and over the years has worked in the areas of Community Services, S&T Wellness Center, Corporate Wellness, Mobile Health, Spirit of Women and Diabetes. In Amanda’s spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, fitness, and reading.
