Indiana Regional Medical Center recognized its volunteers on Tuesday, April 9 at a luncheon held at the Rustic Lodge. Volunteer Services at IRMC – Marge's Mission consists of 130 individuals – men, women and high school students – who generously give their time and skills to helping others. These individuals serve in many areas of the hospital including the Information Desk, Surgical Waiting Room, Pantry, Gift Shop, Hospitality Cart, Mailroom, Pastoral Care, and Pet Therapy. There are also volunteers who serve outside of the hospital at IRMC at Chestnut Ridge and some knit baby hats for our newborns.

In addition to recognizing all volunteers, the luncheon is also when IRMC announces the recipient of the Marge Scheeren Volunteer Service Award.

Please join us in congratulating Elaine Mulvilhill for being chosen as the recipient of the 2019 Marge Scheeren Volunteer Service Award.

Elaine has volunteered at IRMC for 8 years. She has served at the Information Desk, Surgical Waiting Room, Hospitality Cart, Mailroom and Volunteer Office. She was nominated by fellow volunteers and IRMC employees who described her as being "kind; cheerful, always has a smile on her face; goes out of her way to provide friendly, courteous, gentle service; having genuine compassion and sufficient time for helping and listening to anyone she encounters"

Upon receiving the award at the Volunteer Recognition Luncheon, Elaine shared with Todd Marino how much she enjoys volunteering at IRMC, …….
