Financial Services

Indiana Regional Medical Center (IRMC) is aware of the constant changes occurring with healthcare laws and insurance plans and how this affects our community. That is why we have a financial services team to walk you through the financial process.

Our financial services team will help you understand your responsibility for payment, whether it be precertification, co-insurance, deductibles or co-pays. We are committed to providing our patients with access to quality healthcare, and we provide financial assistance to those in our community who are uninsured or underinsured and who do not have adequate financial resources to pay for necessary healthcare services.

Our financial team negotiates with most insurance companies to obtain a contract that affords a fair price for both you and the medical center. We offer payment arrangements and online bill pay, accept credit cards and the health savings card, and have a Financial Assistance Program. Our Financial Assistance Program helps eligible persons receive non-elective healthcare services at no cost or a reduced cost, depending on family income.

All patients seen at IRMC are expected to contribute to the cost of their care, based upon their individual ability to pay. Patients are informed about our financial process in a number of ways:

  • Financial counselors and social workers are available to patients during their stay.
  • Patient Financial Services attempts to contact scheduled patients prior to services to provide patients with their expected amounts due and discuss payment and discount options.
  • Representatives discuss financial assistance when speaking to patients on the phone about their account balances.
