Dr. Shetty is a board-certified physiatrist, or physical medicine and rehabilitation physician. He is originally from Mangalore, India and received his medical degree from Vijaynagar Institute of Medical Science Bellary of Gulbarga University in India.
Dr. Shetty has been practicing medicine at Indiana Regional Medical Center (IRMC) since 1999. He has served as the medical director of IRMC’s Rehab Care Center since 2003.
Following his formal education, Dr. Shetty underwent an orthopedics residency at Mysore Medical College and Father Muller's Post Graduate Institute in India. He completed Cardiac Rehab training at Rusk Institute in New York, NY and Sports Medicine training at Lenox Hill Hospital, in New York, NY. After spending time broadening his extensive medical background, he completed a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation residency at Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY.
Dr. Shetty holds professional affiliations with the PA Medical Society, Indiana County Medical Society and the American Academy of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation.
In his spare time, Dr. Shetty enjoys traveling, working out, and family time.
