Dr. Nihar Ghate is a board-certified/ qualified foot and ankle surgeon who is originally from Indiana, PA. He received his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from Temple University in Philadelphia.
Dr. Ghate completed a podiatric medicine and surgery residency at Geisinger Community Medical Center in Scranton, PA. Additionally, he completed a preceptorship through the International Center for Limb Lengthening at Sinai Hospital in Baltimore.
Dr. Ghate specializes in diabetic charcot arthropathy, foot and ankle reconstruction surgeries, fracture management, and tendon/soft tissue repair and care. He has submitted and completed publications on these topics for the Journal of Foot and Ankle Surgery.
Additionally, Dr. Ghate has held professional memberships with the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, the American Podiatric Medical Association, and the American College of Foot and Ankle Orthopedics and Medicine.
Outside of his professional work, Dr. Ghate enjoys golfing, working on cars, and rooting for the Pittsburgh Penguins. He also loves spending time with his wheaten terrier, Maddox.
