Mobile Wellness

IRMC Mountains Mobile Health brings wellness services directly into the communities we serve, meeting patients and community members where they are. Our mobile unit is designed to improve access to preventive care, education, and health resources through convenient, on-the-go services.

By removing barriers such as transportation and time, IRMC Mountains Mobile Health helps connect individuals to the care and support they need to live healthier lives.

This initiative reflects a shared commitment to prevention, recovery, and improving population health by meeting individuals where they are. Special thank you to the Armstrong-Indiana-Clarion Drug & Alcohol Commission for supporting this initiative with purchase and operating costs. IRMC and Armstrong Indiana Clarion Drug & Alcohol Commission (AICDAC) have expanded their partnership through the use of Indiana County opioid settlement funds, managed by the Indiana County Commissioners, to purchase the new mobile health unit.

Services offered through IRMC Mountains Mobile Health may include:

Health Screenings & Prevention

• Blood Pressure Screenings
• Behavioral health care to include Substance Use Disorder screening, case management, and recovery support services, along with referrals to services
• Better Health Screening Chart
  • An interactive, age-based screening guide that outlines recommended preventive screenings
  • Our team helps participants understand their needs and connect to appropriate follow-up care and appointments

Education & Support

• Nutrition Education and Wellness Resources
  • General nutrition education and condition-specific materials (such as heart-healthy and diabetes-friendly eating) with referrals to registered dietitians and diabetic educators
  • Educational handouts and guidance provided in collaboration with IRMC clinical experts
• Social Services Support
  • Information and connections to community and health resources

• Diabetic Eye Exams
• Body Mass Index (BMI) Screenings

We welcome requests from community organizations, schools, employers, municipalities, and event organizers who share our commitment to improving community health.

Important Planning Information:

• All requests must be submitted at least one month prior to the requested event date.
• Requests are reviewed and prioritized based on:
• Alignment with IRMC’s mission
• Community impact
• Available staffing and resources
